COVID-19: Isolation for positive cases reduced from 7 days to 5

The Health Secretary has reduced the self isolation period for COVID positive cases from 7 days to 5 days but scientists remain skeptical.

Sajid Javid told the Commons that the reduced time is backed by the current COVID-19 data. The Government hope that the change in isolation will help struggling businesses and shortages in care.

The change to self- isolation begins on Monday.
