6月2日，kindle中国发布声明亚马逊将于2023年6月30日在中国停止kindle的电子书店的运营，引发争议。近日，江苏省消费者权益保护委员会发声：相关公司应出台更多有利于保护消费者合法权益的善后政策。
根据kindle的说明，对于已经购买的电子书，可以在2024年6月30日之前下载，并且可以在此后继续阅读。2022年1月1日之后购买Kindle电子书阅读器，且符合相关退货条件的用户，亚马逊将提供非质量问题退货服务。
但消费者依然担忧。有人提出：“新用户可以退设备，那大批量的老用户咋办？”“如果不是看重亚马逊图书馆强大的库存，谁会花几百块买一块墨水屏？”
消费者的担忧不是没有道理。kindle电子书店停止运营，消费者将面临体验下降，官方商店正版图书资源、云端储存电子数据、邮箱推送电子书等功能是不少消费者花费上千元选择kindle的理由。一旦官方不再提供相关服务，消费者的使用体验就会直线下降。
电子书资源要全部下载至本地，将占用消费者时间精力及大量存贮空间。此外，Kindle采用独特的电子书格式，难以适配其他的电子阅读器，电子书就可能真的只能“盖泡面”。
江苏省消费者权益保护委员会表示，kindle退出中国市场所带来的更大的拷问是，消费者对一家企业乃至一个行业的信心是否被动摇。企业根据市场经济对自身经营战略进行调整无可厚非，但不能因此忽视消费者的合法权益和正当诉求。亚马逊作为一家大型跨国企业在中国躬耕多年，拥有庞大的用户群体。如何处理政策变动带来的善后问题，不仅仅是中国，全世界的消费者都在观察它的选择。提供打包下载服务、电子书格式转换破解服务、云端笔记同步下载等功能……这些都是kindle可以为消费者做的。
江苏省消保委认为，相关公司应负起应有的社会责任，认真接纳消费者意见、正视消费者需求，出台更多有利于保护消费者合法权益的善后政策。同时也提醒广大消费者，市场经济必然有波动，希望大家理性维权，不要失去消费信心。
